Ma Yingjeou Should Stop Sitting on the Fence, Before He Is Dragged Down from It into the Mud
We have already predicted the course of events in Taiwan if Ma Yingjeou continues to refuse to cooperate with the Mainland in retaking Diaoyu island.
First, there will be mass protests by the pro-Japanese Taiwanese separatists to bring him down politically.
Next, there will be insubordination in his own military, if not a coup d'etat, to force Taiwan to become a separate country from China, followed by becoming a protectorate of Japan, just as Korea did before it was annexed by Japan. Empress Meongseong of Korea was murdered on October 8, 1895 at the young age of 43 years. If they can murder an empress, what can they not do to a mere elected politician?
Then, Taiwan will be annexed by Japan.
It does not take genius to see these events unfolding, because that was what happened to Korea, before it was absorbed by Japan.
Only a fool and a coward will call himself a "President" of the Republic of China and allow Taiwan to be separated from the China that he is pledged to keep whole, to be made into a protectorate of Japan against his own will, and become a prefecture of Japan beyond his control.
The Republic of China should take the first step to land on Diaoyu island, and declare it a part of the Republic of China, and thereby break the false claim of Japan that it has exercised "continuous jurisdiction" over Diaoyudao. If Taiwan intervenes, nobody dares to attack Taiwan. Nobody. If Japan does, China will eliminate all its forces from Ryukyu down to Okinawa. Eliminate. Period.
