All is quiet on the Eastern Front of Diaoyudao - for now.  China has stopped sending its aerial patrol to Diaoyudao after having it blocked four times in a row by a bristling squadron of Japanese F15 fighter planes, from Dec. 22 to 26, 2012.

Separately, a Chinese fishing vessel had just been captured by the Japanese, elsewhere within Japan's 200 mile EEZ, unrelated to Diaoyudao.

Is this the lull before the storm?  Is this the beginning or is it the end of China's aerial patrols over Diaoyudao?  No one knows.  Stay tuned.  In the meantime, Happy New Year to everyone!

There must be something wrong with your caps lock, otherwise there's no excuse for you not turning it off when you make threads. Your threads aren't more valueable than other people's threads, so they deserve no more emphasis by using capital letters.

Do you honestly think a POS turbo prop patrol plane stopped 8 Japanese F-15s? What world do you live in?

2013:  The Year of the Collapse of the Japanese Economy?

If America faced, and now successfully avoids, the "Fiscal Cliff", imagine what will happen to Japan that lives on its century-old bloody loot from China, Korea and its current serfs in Southeast Asia?  Japan's economic decline is unstoppable.  America will safely navigate its fiscal shoals with the help of Chinese money buying us US Treasuries.  It is in the interest of China to see America prosper.

On the other hand, Japan did a harakiri on its economy by illegally "nationalizing" a part of China's sovereign territory, the Diaoyu Islands, that was only briefly under Japanese rule from 1895-1945, and legally ceded back to China under the Instrument of Surrender of the Japanese Empire of September 2, 1945.  Japan's rightwing cabinet chose 9/11/2012 as the date of infamy, as its government is fond of doing over and over again, not content with the depravity of 12/07/1945.  In the process, the Japanese war-mongerers have all but destroyed their profitable trade with China, and their economy, which stands zero chance of recovery.

Of course, Japan will re-militarize with the blessings of its Neo-Nazi backers in the West, as it has re-Nazified under their noses since 1945, anyways.  But this time, it will be utterly and permanently defeated.  Its fate is up for speculation.  One possible scenario is for Japan to be governed by a United Republic of Korea, as it should have been if Kublai Khan were not stopped by freak storms 1274 and 1281.  Beach head was at Hakata Bay, in Kyushu Island, an area once ruled by China which was awarded the Golden Seal by the Chinese emperor Guangwu of the Han dynasty, as Nu Guo (奴国) or Na no kuni, in 57 AD.  Because of his initial failure, Kublai Khan established in Dadu (Beijing) a Ministry for Conquering Japan in 1280.  Although successful in landing on Japan in 1281, a typhoon sent monstrous waves against the beached Mongol vessels and those anchored at Hakata Bay, wiping out all but a few ships.

Given Japan's propensity to keep invading Chinese territories, maybe it is time for China to re-establish a Ministry for Conquering Japan II, continuing the work left unfinished in 1280, this time, accounting for the weather system completely.  No more kamikaze to protect the butchers of Asia.  But at least something to turn the barbarians into civilized Confucians once again.  This is a moral imperative of modern China, to civilize such a barbaric nation, responsible for the mass murder of some 35 million Chinese and Koreans in a span of only fifty years, according to superior morality of Confucian ethics and Buddhist teachings, instead of raw, spiritistic ghost-worship of blood-thirsty War Criminals as their gods.  Rest assured, China does not do what Japan did to her.  Confucius taught, one should not do to others what one does not wish others to do to oneself.  Western de-nazification was given 68 years to work.  It failed miserably.  Chinese Confucianization of Japan is the only hope of peace for Asia.  China will merely ensure that the future Japanese youth are reared in true humanistic morality, not by a pseudo-morality that surrenders individual conscience to a cult worship of war criminals.
