tell me more about it... how is "traditional" popcorn in China?

what are the differences before traditional Chinese and "Western" way of making it?

someone told me, that in China popcorn was made even 200 years ago, is it right?

It is different from current way of making popcorns. The kernels are sealed in a container. Then the vendor heats them up to a certain temperature on the stove and puts the sealed container with hot kernels into a bag. He then opens the container in the bag, allowing the kernels to expand, and with a bang every single kernel pops at the same time. Just like an explosion, that's we call a tasty explosion!
