Liu Xiang has ever said, “Be a man with stories, stories that can be recalled when old, stories that remind me I’ve strived hard when I was young.” And he is indeed a man of stories, applauses and abuses, ups and downs. Standing on the pitch at the London Olympics, the 29-year-old man himself has already been a success. He deserves everyone’s respect for he’s already done a great job. And no one should ever blame him for nothing.

He kissed the last hurdle before he left the track, the track that he spent his entire youth on. He’s so in love with this game. He’s the one and only Liu Xiang.

From the 2004 Athens Olympics to present, Liu’s won almost all the glory-symbolized titles in the sport game, making him a monument of China’s history of track and field event as well as a cultural icon. When we witnessed him getting out of the pitch on a wheelchair at the London Olympics, we didn’t have much to say but salute this warrior.
