There's a lot of stuff blocked in China. Chinese internet is a small part of the world's internet. It's like being painted into a corner and not being able to access the rest of the room. Viva Les VPNs

I don't think there is such a law but I do think that using one, in a way, bypasses the laws regarding site restrictions etc which, to my way of thinking is tantamount to breaking those restriction laws....get my point?
I, in no way, am saying that folks shouldn't use VPNs as it isn't my place to do so.

Then I worded what I initially said incorrectly, my apologies.
I was trying to say that using a VPN to view forbidden sites is a bit dishonest and in a way, is actually breaking the law because folks view the forbidden sites whilst in China.
