order to pin down the best employers we first have to ask ourselves what exactly makes a company a great one to be part of. Whether you’re looking for a big pay, good health benefits, low stress level, chance to promote, have your creativity rewarded, you come to realize it’s rather difficult to have them all. However, a few lucky ones do enjoy all of the above in the companies they work for. The below mentioned companies have acknowledged that human capital is an asset of vital importance and came up with all kinds of benefits in order to attract the best employees.

1. SAS

Number one on our list is no stranger at all as it has made it not less than 14 times to the best employers top and scored the first place last year as well. For those of you less informed, SAS activates in the software sector and when it comes to benefits it takes it serious .Here are just a few of them ranging from high quality childcare, summer camp for kids to car cleaning and beauty saloon.

As the name suggests, the company is in the consulting business and since a lot of consulting had to be done in the past couple of years, this company not only it didn’t lay off any of its employees, but it in fact hired a lot of people in 2010. What people are attracted by are the generous wages and company’s involvement in different social programs such as the UN World Food Programs and others as well.

This food sector giant from the retail market, otherwise a family owned business seems to pay attention to their more than 39,000 employees offering exceptional benefits which include employee scholarship program as well. Here’s one company everyone has heard of and it makes no surprise to have it on our list. Their proclaimed goal is for their employees to know they are loved and cared for and they seem to do a good job at that by their excellent standard package  of fringe benefits, first class dining facilities, gyms, laundry rooms, massage rooms, haircuts, car washes, dry cleaning, commuting business, just about everything an employee might wish for.

Ending with a great financial year in which their revenues jumped 33% meant this company did a lot of hiring. Among the  benefits that the employees are drawn by at this data storage company are the high pays but also perks like free fruits, bagels and cream cheese on different days in a week.

The online shoe retailer makes for a new entry in our top 10 list which means a big leap for them. Since it’s part of Amazon.com family, it also shares the same values when it comes to caring for its employees by offering them free meals, free of charge vending machines, doctor on site and others as well.

Here’s one company  employees cared so much for that when in desperate need of help, choking in recession, actually pitched in to cut a few million dollars by means of accepting reduced pays and renegotiating their contracts.
