Located in Taipei County, just on the opposite of Bali, Danshui is a prosperous town with both river and mountain views. This beautiful small town is at the terminal station of MRT Danshui line. Due to its ideal location, this town became a popular leisure spot for families and couples on holidays.
Situated along Danshui River, the town features a vivid street which is full of traditional shops and special local stores. Visitors are able to taste traditional foods and Taiwanese snacks here; to take a look from stores to stores and to seek for interesting stuffs as well as special souvenirs. Also, visitors may take a cruise ride to the Fisherman's Wharf or Bali Village; both of them are famous spots when coming to Danshui.

Danshui Town features:
Local snacks: Agei (tofu with Chinese vermicelli and meat stuffing), fish crisps, ironic eggs, prawn roll, fish ball, pastry, wanton, and so on.
Temples and churches: Lungshan Temple, Herzhong Temple, Catholic Church, Tamchian Church, and Xingchung Temple.
Historical attractions: Mackay's Grave, Octagonal Tower, Mackay Hospital, and Consul Office.
Natural sceneries: Danshui eight scenic spots, Mangrove (Hungshulin) Conservation Area, Cape Shihhu, and Chunglun Jetty.

Reachable by a short Taipei MRT ride to the MRT Danshui Station, visitors may taste numerous mouth-watering delicacies at the Danshui Old Street, have an idea of Taiwan’s history at the notable historical spots such as Little White House, Fort Santo Domingo, and Red Castle, as well as enjoy a romantic time at the Danshui Fisherman’s Wharf.
