Taipei is a sleepless city in Asia for all kinds of things that one may do in the evening of their Taipei travel, from shopping and sampling all kinds of Taiwan snacks at some of Taiwan’s most popular night markets, to singing and clubbing at some of Asia’s best nightclubs and musical venues. For travelers looking for a tranquil and peaceful evening, Taipei has a number of great night view stops that boast wonderful views overlooking splendid Taipei City. Below is a list of  top night view spots of Taipei for you to retreat into relaxations encircled by serene ambience while enjoying great views over Taiwan’s sophisticated capital.

Taipei 101 Observatory
Unparallel experience setting foot in one of the world’s tallest building, where panoramic views over the heart of Taipei City are to be seen, from the busy corner of Xinyi commercial district, to glittering dazzle of the multitudes of cars and the sky full of flickering stars.

Directions:
By Taipei MRT:
Take Taipei MRT-Bannan Line  to MRT Taipei City Hall Station.  From there, walk towards Xinyi Road  from exit no. 2 to Taipei 101.

By Bus:
1. Taipei 101 is reachable by taking bus no. 207, 537, Xinyi Line or Blue 5  to Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) stop
2. Taipei 101 is reachable by taking bus no. 1, 284, 292, 611, or 650 to Taipei World Trade Center (TWTC) stop

Yangmingshan National Park
Up on Yangminshan National Park close to Chinese Culture University is likely to be the most popular night view spot in Taipei among locals, where one may find crowds or couples creating their own small world enjoying views over Taipei City. Other top night view spots in Yangmingshan National Park include Baiyun Villa, the Lin Yutang House, as well as Qingtiangang for the grassland that is favored for star-gazing.

By MRT:
Take MRT to MRT Jiantan Station and transfer bus route 260, red 5 to Yangmingshan National Park directly

By Bus:
Take bus route 109, 219, 260, mini 9, red 5 to Yangmingshan directly

By Car:
Drive along Yangde Blvd to reach Yangmingshan National Park

Bishanyen Temple
Located on Mt. Bishan in Neihu District of Taipei City, Taiwan, Bishanyen Temple is noted as one of Taipei’s best night viewing and also a popular stop for bird’s-eye view over surroundings, including the Taipei Basin, Danshui River, Mt. Liyu, and terraced fields. It is a popular spot for night sceneries and a great spot for seeing Taipei 101 firework displays.
Directions:
By Bus:
1. Take bus no. Blue 27, 247, 256 267, 521, 551, or 552 to Maosan Third Village. From there, take Xiao 2 (minibus no. 2小2) to Bishanyen Temple.
2. Take bus no. 21, 28 or 278 to Ta-Ren Girl Senior High. From there, take Xiao 2 (minibus no. 2小2) to Bishanyen Temple

By MRT:
Take Taipei MRT-Wenhu Line to MRT Neihu Station. Walk to No. 452, Sec. 2, Neihu Road  from exit no. 1 of MRT Neihu Station. From there, take Xiao 2 (Small shuttle bus no. 2 小2) to Bishanyen Temple

Drive on your own:
No. 1 National Highway  -> Chenggong Road Interchange  -> toward Donghu  -> Jinlong Road  -> Bishan Road  -> Bishanyen

Maokong
Located in Wenshan District, Maokong is famed for its mesmerizing day and night views overlooking Taipei City together with high-quality teas and cuisines. Visitors may simply take a ride on the Maokong Gondola and visit tea culture museums during the day, and enjoy wonderful night views when nightfall.
Directions:
By MRT:
Take MRT Muzha line to Wanfang Community Station, transfer mini bus route 10 to Maokong directly.

By Maokong Gondola:
Take Maokong Gondola from Taipei City Zoo Station to Maokong area.

By Bus:
Take bus route 236, 237, 282, 611, Zhinan 1st Road, Zhinan 2nd Road, Zhinan 3rd Road, to National Chengchi University, transfer mini bus route 10 to Maokong directly.

Drive on your own:
National Highway No.3, exit Wanfang Interchange, drive along Muzha Rd. Muxin Rd., Zhinan Rd. to National Chengchi University, drive along Zhinan sec. 2 and 3rd Road to reach Maokong.

Miramar Entertainment Park
Located in Zhongshan District, Miramar Entertainment Park with its large Ferris Wheels that showcases in different neon lightshows in the evening, is a couple’s paradise. Enjoy a ride on the Ferris Wheels, where you are offered with nice views overlooking the surroundings on the highest point of your ride. The Ferris Wheels of Miramar Entertainment Park is a popular spot for ones looking for a romantic getaway.

By Bus:
Take bus no. 21, 110, 222, 247, 256, 267, 286, 287, 620, 646, 902, Red 2, Brown 16, Blue 7, Blue 20 or Blue 26  to Miramar Entertainment Park.

By Taipei MRT:
1. Take Taipei MRT-Danshui Line to MRT Yuanshan Station.  From there, take bus no. 2 or 21 to Miramar stop
2. Take Taipei MRT-Danshui Line to MRT Shilin Station. From there, take bus no. 620 to Miramar stop
3. Take Taipei MRT-Wenhu Line to MRT Zhongshan Junior High School Station. From there, take bus no. 286 to Miramar stop

Miramar Entertainment Park Shuttle Service
Shuttle services are provided at MRT Jiantan Station, MRT Zhongshan Junior High Station  and MRT Neihu Software Park Station.

Drive on your own:
No. 1 National Highway: Tiding Interchange -> Sec. 2, Tiding Blvd. -> Tianmu Expressway  -> Lechun 3rd Road -> Miramar Entertainment Park
