This urban area is a good place to explore for those who enjoy hanging out in big cities. However, Macau Peninsular is also a great place for those with an interest in history and culture as it is teeming with interesting buildings such as Dutch churches and forts to wander around.

Much of the Macau Peninsula has been selected as a UNESCO World Heritage site as it contains 25 buildings and other locations of historic and cultural importance. Take a walking tour to discover architectural marvels such as the A-Ma Temple, Moorish Barracks, Lilau Square and 19th century Mandarin House.

The Macau Peninsula also offers plenty of pretty places to relax. Wander through the Luis de Camoes Garden and Grotto to see people practicing tai chi in the garden and relax in the pretty garden of the Jardim de Lou Lim Ioc before exploring the ancient Chinese mansion, which has been transformed into a museum and art gallery.

There is plenty of evening entertainment here, whether you prefer gambling at one of the elaborate casinos, drinking at the bar or watching a performance in the 19th century Don Pedro V Theatre.
