Writer's real name is Lau Guan Kim.  lau_guan_kim is for commentary and analysis. He writes also under another alter ego jinseng. I will respond to good reasoned debate. Mudslingers shall be ignored. What I do not like are ignorance, stupidity, chauvinism and bigotry. The other party has as much right as I have until it resorts to insults and nuisance.

The Japanese is a LONG SUFFERING nation.

The GREAT WALL in China, and the non expansion of Chinese Empire Trade beyond the coast has hurt the Nippon state. The CAPTURE of the key NANJING CITY, was a symptom of OLD KNOWLEDGE on the Japanese Imperial Leadership.

They were thinking in ANCIENT CONFUCIAN CHINA structure, where the SALT GUILD REVENUE MERCHANTS, were the main contributor of taxation to the CHINESE IMPERIAL EMPIRE. In their minds, capturing NANJING, and Jiangsu in general means VICTORY to the empire of China.

(Pssst, The Taiping rebels, did the same strategy as the Japanese in capturing Nanjing, and the Jiangsu region - capture the CUSTOM REVENUE COLLECTION CENTRE. In fact the BRITISH EMPIRE successfully did so, and use FOREIGN TRADE in opium, western industrial produce instead.)

They failed to understand the CURRENT PRESENT, which is the ICE AGE - where coal, crude oil is the dominant industry. Probably it was SYMBOLIC, as did the KMT with it's northern campaign.

The ORGANIZED units trying to capture Jiangsu and Nanjing in post 1800's China!
The Nanjing-Jiangsu folks must be as "tired" as the "Gulf Arabs" with the desire to be "super rich"!

These are the British Empire, Taiping Rebels, KMT party, and Imperial Japan.

Lack of denazification in Japan most likely left Japanese today care little or not at all for what is done.
Japan should of being dealt like Germany after ww2 but Amerikkkkkkkka decided Japan is friend China is enemy after ww2.
In Germany denial of Genocide is serious crime you can land in prison for few years , in Japan denial of Nanjing massacre is rather norm and you get pet on back for it.
Double standards are facilitated by occupational force which is USA

Fascinating video , that victory dance remind me on some African tribes dance.................very spooky.
