many of my chinese friends say they hate the corruption in china, but know it is there, even the chinese goverment admits it, but for me that is the start of change , a alcoholic must admit he has a problem befor he can cure himself, in uk it is all hidden under old boy connections and lies, and is denied, power corrups total power corrupts totaly,

What is the point of a list of `most corrupt states`? Most people are corrupt; the incorruptible wil ...

It's not a list of "most corrupt states" but a list of "most corrupt states according to th perception of the locals".

That makes in much more interesting.

A few years ago, Forbes made a huge poll to businessmen all over the world. There was two questions who really sticked out. Who do you think is the most trustworthy people to deal with and who do you think is the least trustworthy people to deal with.

ALL the businessman who answered the poll replied Chinese are the least trustworthy people to deal with EXCEPT the Chinese who answered they were the most trustworthy.

Perception, it's important :)
Spreading magic around the world since 2007.
