Putin: western "democracy" is a sick joke!

Putin slams West for arresting WikiLeaks founder. Furious about the Western Hypocrisy, the Sick Joke aka “Western Democracy”.

Dec 12th, 2010 /

The arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for sexual misconduct illustrates the hypocrisy of the West about democracy, Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin says.

In the strongest comments to come out of Russia in the latest WikiLeaks saga, Putin also took aim at the U.S. for the cables, some of which had derided Russia a “mafia state.”

Assange’s arrest in London earlier this week indicated that the West isn’t as democratic as it thinks it is, Putin suggested.

“If there is democracy, it must be a full one. Why did they jail Mr. Assange? Is that democracy?” Putin said at a news conference Thursday. “You know what our villagers say: while someone’s cow is mooing, yours better be silent.” The Russian expression is loosely equivalent to the pot calling the kettle black.

“So I would like to shoot the puck back at our American colleagues,” said Putin.

The prime minister also took a shot at the accuracy of the diplomatic observations in the classified cables.

One of the released cables from the U.S. embassy in Paris quoted Secretary of Defense Robert Gates saying “Russian democracy has disappeared and the government is an oligarchy run by the security services.”

Russia has said the release of the cables — which called Putin an “alpha ” — would not affect relations with the U.S. But Putin and others have criticized them, with President Dmitry Medvedev last week saying they illustrate the “cynicism” of American diplomacy.

Medvedev, widely viewed as the junior partner in Russia’s ruling tandem, was described in the cables as the Robin to Putin’s Batman.

On Thursday, Russia called on NATO to explain a recently released cable that showed NATO was drawing up plans to defend Baltic countries from a Russian attack.

“With one hand, NATO seeks agreement with us on joint partnership, and with the other, it makes a decision that it needs to defend,” Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov told reporters. “So when is NATO more sincere?”

“We have asked these questions and are expecting answers to them. We think we are entitled to that,” Larvrov added.

Putin Suggests West Hypocritical Over Wikileaks

Also Thursday, an anonymous Kremlin official told Russian media that perhaps Assange should be nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

“Public and non-governmental organizations should think of how to help him,” the source said, according to the Interfax news agency. “Maybe, nominate him as a Nobel Prize laureate.”

We wouldn't have a country if the US was full of kyosans.  Instead of working to improve the country, the guilt of all past deeds real and imagined, would leave them with the attitude - 'you're ...

Heck, we wouldn't have a China if it was comprised solely of folks like some we've met in here!

Brazil: There won't be Mideast peace as long as U.S. is 'guardian'

Brazil: There won't be Mideast peace as long as U.S. is 'guardian'. So true!

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Monday demanded the end of what he called U.S. "guardianship" of the Middle East.

"There will not be peace in the Middle East as long as the United States is the guardian of peace. It is necessary to involve other countries in negotiations (between Israel and the Palestinians)," he said.

Lula also slammed economic sanctions imposed on Iran over Tehran's controversial nuclear programme, and emphasized that they could have been avoided if the United States had accepted a deal brokered with Iran by Brazil and Turkey.

Interesting to see that not one of these Anglo-bashers finds Julian Assange a hero standing up to 'Anglo prtessure'

Assange is NOT an Anglo surname!

We know that Australia had immigrants from other civilized countries other than the Anglo criminals from London.

Dr. Mahmud Ahmadinejad

by Shablon

Much disinformation has been spread by the hateful bunch of idiots about this great and unassuming man, Dr. Ahmadinejad. So I will try give you the real picture of this probably the most modest, most honest, and most righteous of all Presidents in the world.

a) Dr. Ahmadinejad has just two namk accounts. one has no money in it at all, the other account is used my him and his family to pay for living expenses, and this is where his salary of $250 per month is being placed every month, not for being a President, but for his teaching position as a Professor at Tehran University, he gets no salary for being a President.

b) Dr. Ahmadinejad resides in a very humbe house in the poorest suburb of Tehran, a house built by his father about 40 years ago.

c) Dr. Ahmadijad does have a car it is a 1977 504 Peurout, which he drives himself sometimes, when he has money for gas

d) Dr.Ahmadinejad refuses to sleep in a bed even on international travel, instead he sleeps on the floor, just as he does at home.

e) Dr. Ahmadinejad, appoints ministers only after they have completely disposed of their money and possessions completely by giving it away to their relatives or someone else and only after they sign a comitment not to ever accept money from anyone other than their salary.

f) Dr. Ahmadinejad wears simple clothes which can be purchased in any clothing store in Tehran.

g) Dr. Ahmadinejad has never threatened ANY country including Israel with destruction inspite of the fact that his country could easily accomplish such an event without anybody else's help.

Before leaving office, Lula slams US policy in Latin America

Dec 27, 2010

Brasilia - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, days before leaving office, again slammed the United States, complaining that the 'empire's' policies toward Latin America have persisted despite the election
of leftwing US President Barack Obama.

'Nothing has changed in the US vision of Latin America, which makes me sad,' Lula told reporters at a breakfast meeting Monday in Brasilia.

Lula's handpicked successor, Dilma Rousseff, was elected on October 31 and takes office Sunday.

'The United States needs to realize the importance of its relations with Latin America, because of the proximity (to the region), because of the number of Latinos in the United States and because it is a peaceful continent,' Lula said.

He denounced that Washington persists in 'an empire's relations with poor countries.'

Ties between Brasilia and Washington cooled down after Obama took office in January 2009, replacing conservative predecessor George W Bush, with whom Lula had warm personal relations.

Rousseff has named Brazil's former ambassador to the United States, Antonio Patriota, as foreign minister, to replace Celso Amorim, which could mark an improvement in relations between Brasilia and Washington.

Like a typical Anglo, you twist the words!

Thanks for saying Britain sent civilised Anglos and allowed Anglos from other civilised countries to settle there.
We do know Britain deported its prisoners to Australia.

Now in hindsight,  ...

How can anyone trust anything that comes out of your devious and lying mouth?

No wonder that the Native Americans said that you Anglos speak with fork-tongue!
