Taiwan's leader Ma Ying-jeou said that he could not rule out the possiblity to sign a peace agreement with chinese mainland during a interview by a reporter from Aljazeera. Ma added : " there is no timetable for we can't estimate how long it will take the both sides to solve the many urgent economic issues between two sides."

" we have realized restriction imposed to us, so we can't become a trouble maker but play as a peace founder " said Ma.

Ma told that Taiwai is extremely rely on trade, with 65% of its GAP generating from trade, enhance, trade is the life line for Taiwan. that is why we put so high value on signing the ECFA with Chinese mainland, the biggest trade partner of Taiwan.

If the Ma will lead Taiwan for 10 years , it is quite possible for both sides to sign such a peace agreement.
But the Ma will on the current position as long as possible another 6 years

So the situation is still uncertain

those small islands in the pacific might one day runnin into deep trouble such as technology lack behind others, and which is a great idea to stick with china as a business partner (south corea is on the leadin edge of technology but not yet there as comparin to jpn)...if china within the next decade and leadin the technology know-how in most fields it will be doomed for most nations.  those her neighbors must do the right thing in order to survive themselves but not in political nonsense
