Today the opposition leader Roza Otunbayeva declared the opposition had seized power in Kyrgyzstan, taking control of security headquarters, a state TV channel and other government buildings after clashes between police and protesters killed dozens in this Central Asian nation that houses a key US air base.

President Kurmanbek Bakiyev, who came to power in a similar popular uprising five years ago, was said to have fled to the southern city of Osh, and it was difficult to gauge how much of the impoverished, mountainous country the opposition controlled Wednesday.

The Army of Kyrgyzstan has chosen the side to advocate the president Kurmanbek Bakiyev, but the police chose to support the opposition.

The uprise just follows the " Tulip Revolution" 5 years ago, which claim to build the democracy and political freedom in this nation.

Now once again the opposition  overthrow the current regime with a pretext of the autarchy and corruption of Kurmanbek Bakiyev's administration.

after the uprising, US and Russia who are most concerned about the situation, has deliver their statement. Maybe there should be an international battle beneath the uprise.

Caust, US has a airforce base in Kyrgyzstan and Russia will never cease its care for this fomer member state of Soviet Union.

WE can wait and see.

Change needed

This is a fine example of the social disbility, the unworkabilty of the 'Democractic' political system!

Kyrgyzstan should revoke this bullsh!t Western style one-man-one-vote nonsense, and adopt the proven workable One-Party consensus political system as enjoyed in China.

Only the best loved, most trustworthy and intelligent leaders are elected to the Standing Politburo.

LOL with dumbs like you who ignore anything..

Khirgiz president is nothing more than a hidden dictator, stamped democratic, but in fact he never played the game: arresting oponent, even crimes have been reported...,

in fact, he just deserve what happen now. Any people have red line that cannot be crossed too long.

Contrary to what you write, this "unstability" is the awakening of a civilian society with real rights, and not permanent persecution and other abuse form this puppet dictator.

Khirgiz have been pushed too far by dictatorship, now they revenge, but the only thing they want, is like anyone here: respect.
