It's great that the Olympics will finally be entering the continent of South America.
While the five linked Olympic rings symbolise friendship between the continents of the world, we are yet to see the Olympics being hosted in South America or Africa. The other countries who were contenders for the 2016 Olympics have all hosted it in the past. It's great that the IOC has stayed true to the greater goals of this movement. This will make a huge difference to Brazil, to South America, and to the Olympic movement. And it will be great for the rest of us too, to get to experience new cultures of the world.
