China on Thursday dismissed Turkey's proposal of discussing Xinjiang's riots in the United Nations Security Council, saying the incident was a domestic issue.

"The Chinese government has taken decisive measures according to the law. This is purely China's internal affair and doesn't demand a UN Security Council discussion," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang told the regular briefing.

Qin's comments came after Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday said Turkey would ask the UN body to discuss ways of ending the violence in northwest China's Xinjiang region.

Sunday's riots in Urumqi, capital of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, left at least 156 people dead and more than 1,000 injured.

Qin said the July 5 incident in Xinjiang was an organized and premeditated violence aimed at sabotaging China's national unification and ethnic solidarity.

The spokesman called for the international community to have a clear understanding of what really happened, understand and support the Chinese government's efforts to safeguard national unification, territorial integrity, ethnic unity and social stability.

Please be polite to the folks from Turkey. The only reason they care is that they can actually understand Uyghur language. They are not nosy like, uhen, that German grandpa.  Although Turkey is very European today; their language stayed very similar to the Ancient North Asian dialect.

Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan  should ask the UN body to discuss  Armenian Genocide admission issue

Armenian Genocide
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Armenian Genocide (Armenian: Հայոց Ցեղասպանություն, translit.: Hayoc’ C’eġaspanowt’yown; Turkish: Ermeni Soykırımı), also known as the Armenian Holocaust, the Armenian Massacres and, by Armenians, as the Great Calamity (Մեծ Եղեռն, Meç Eġeṙn, Armenian pronunciation: [mɛts jɛˈʁɛrn]), refers to the deliberate and systematic destruction (genocide) of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War I.[1] It was characterised by the use of massacres, and the use of deportations involving forced marches under conditions designed to lead to the death of the deportees, with the total number of Armenian deaths generally held to have been between one and one-and-a-half million.[2][3][4] Other ethnic groups were similarly attacked by the Empire during this period, including Assyrians and Greeks, and some scholars consider those events to be part of the same policy of extermination.[5]
It is widely acknowledged to have been one of the first modern genocides,[6][7][8] as many Western sources point to the systematic, organized manner the killings were carried out to eliminate the Armenians.[9]
The date of the onset of the genocide is conventionally held to be April 24, 1915, the day that Ottoman authorities arrested some 250 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople. Thereafter, the Ottoman military uprooted Armenians from their homes and forced them to march for hundreds of miles, depriving them of food and water, to the desert of what is now Syria. Massacres were indiscriminate of age or gender, with rape and other sexual abuse commonplace. The Armenian Genocide is the second most-studied case of genocide after the Holocaust.[10]
The Republic of Turkey, the successor state of the Ottoman Empire, does not accept the word genocide as an accurate description of the events.[11] In recent years, it has faced repeated calls to accept the events as genocide. To date, twenty-one countries have officially recognized the events of the period as genocide, and most genocide scholars and historians accept this view.[12][13][14][15] The majority of Armenian diaspora communities were founded as a result of the Armenian genocide.

And what is Pakistan's response by the way? Anyone knows it?

If Pakistan does not support China, it is time China should review the friendship policy with Pakistan.

I hope Iran supports China.
