It is no wonder the Europeans and the Americans are so wary of China : China has EVERYTHING.

Europe is oil and mostly resources deprived. The people enjoy a high standard of living now but meanwhile they are struggling to maintain that standard. It means a lot of very hard work, holding multiple jobs, and having to deal with serious work stress as demand for ever-better efficiency is driving everybody crazy. Further, because everybody lives so well, the country lacks cheap labour, an important engine of economic growth. They have to import them, or move their factories elsewhere abroad.

The Americans fare no batter. Many lose their jobs as companies choose to outsource their business to more cost-effective locations like India or China. The Americans are bitterly losing their jobs and have to look continuously for even higher quality jobs that make their pay justifiable.

If both look to China, China has EVERYTHING. New petroleum sources keep being discovered. Cheap labour is always available due to the number of population and the current state of development. Research activities by top scientists are not slowing down.

We may say China is still poor, but as China becomes richer, it will mean a transfer of wealth from the rest of the (developed) world to China, and the rest of the world can ill afford that because even after all their wealth is sucked up dry, their relatively small number means that's still not enough for China. China is seen as the very hungry dragon that threatens to take everything from everybody else, and more.

Is that a right enough opinion?
