A total of 93 extinction rebellion protesters were arrested for pouring fake blood on Wall Street's famous "Charging Bull" statue.

According to reports the protesters were not arrested until they blocked access for tourists.

Western media outlets covering the issue interviewed not only the protesters and tourists at the site, they also quoted the New York Police Department in order to provide balanced reports that had neutral headlines.

Such reporting was also seen during the Yellow Vests protest in France. Do a search on the internet and you find all kinds of media reports about the rioting that are balanced and objective.

Yet when it comes to violence in Hong Kong it is completely different. The keywords in the reports from the same media outlets are "police brutality" and "shocked by the police", with all the quotes coming from the demonstrators, some of which openly advocate separatism, which is illegal in China.

When a demonstration happens in the West that disturbs public order, the police are described as doing what their jobs require them to do. When a similar incident happens in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region it is transformed into "fight for freedom" and the police actions are "brutality".

Why not call the Yellow Vest protesters in France "freedom fighters"? Or the Extinction Rebellion protesters in New York?

The distorted reporting on the rioting in Hong Kong is symptomatic of much of the Western media's bias against China.

The Hong Kong police are as professional as their Western counterparts. The Western media should demonstrate the same professionalism when reporting on what is happening in Hong Kong and other issues relating to China. (China Daily)

A rose by any other name will smell as sweet. It doesn't really matter what names they are called, what matters is what they are doing and why.

Demonstrations in the west is not riot!
Assembly of more than three in public is riot!
You mean you do not know!
In Hong Kong, so called student leader Joshua Wong is growing bolder and more arrogant because he can go for election of public office even with his criminal record!
Try that in some places and see his fatal fate! US will say to him that he is lucky!

Obviously much more effective police in western countries for making arrests. HK is a disgrace.

Of course, HK is now a disgrace because it has NOT and did NOT follow British ( or 5-Eye's rules of laws ) rules of laws handed down in HK to govern in a very harsh manner. Tough Luck, now !

Hong Kong is definitely A DISGRACE! There is Anson Chan who said that just having a different and show of people power should be acceptable. For Anson Chan, she is not a Hong Konger but US citizen living a comfortable life in US and is laughing happily to see the fire she litted in Hong Kong. Sadly, Hong Kongers do not know but with Bozos like Joshua Wong and Denise Ho, they think they are qualified to do the job. Well, they are just PUPPETS!

Under British rule, there is the Internal Security Act, whereby anyone deemed  necessary could be housed for silence without trial till one subcums to natural course till eternity.

Perhaps, those so called leaders instigating is asking for it or they could leave and stay in the west to be activists for life. Most ridiculous was when Joshua Wong met the White Helmets. Probably, Joshua Wong would be seen as under nourished with his eyes looking but not able to focus. Hopefully, he did not wear diapers or change them too quickly to show his nervousness when meeting the White Helmets, who fight with real ammunition and not some petrol bombs as Hong Kong rioters did! To the White Helmets, Hong Kong is a place for the little children who cried when plastic bullets are fired and others ran when tear gas canisters were dispensed. For the White Helmets, it is a real battle field and BET JOSHUA WONG would be crying helplessly!
