(Shine) Two women have been punished for riding bicycles during a half marathon in Chengdu, Sichuan Province, the race's organizer said on Tuesday.

The women's results were canceled and they will be banned from participating in the Chengdu Women’s Half Marathon ever again, the organizer announced on its Weibo account.

The violations were reported to the Chinese Athletics Association, which is expected to further reprimand the two women, identified by the organizer by their surnames: Yang and Song.

Yang and Song were spotted riding shared bicycles during part of the half marathon, which was held on September 8.

How would you know what is going on in China, keep away from your western yank news and come visit one day to see what it's like to be in a country where you don't have to duck and dive bullets.
