(CGTN)The 28th Beijing International Radio, TV and Film Exhibition (BIRTV) runs through August 24. Regarded as a "must-attend industry exhibition in Asia," BIRTV is held at the China International Convention Center this year. The "Audio-visual China" project was launched at the ceremony of global broadcasting at the same time.

The broadcasting industry

The BIRTV founded in 1987 is the most influential exhibition in the broadcasting industry in Asia, being well received domestically and overseas.

Under the guidance of the National Radio and Television Administration and the China Media Group, the theme of this exhibition is "Innovation-driven: building a new ecology of Omnimedia."

As the broadcasting industry in China continues to grow, the exhibition establishes an inspiring platform for talents to gather and interact with each other. The event also concentrates on content, gathering the latest developments and global inspiration for technical innovation.

Audio-visual China

This year, the "Audio-visual China" project will organize overseas broadcasts of a series of Chinese TV program to countries and regions such as Mongolia, Myanmar, India, France, Indonesia, Arab, Latin American, North American, and African regions.

This project appeals to the Chinese literary and art workers carrying out international exchanges and cooperation, but it also serves a branding strategy for Chinese culture. The combination of audio and video content aims at promoting Chinese culture and telling stories about the country.
