The trade war between US and China is accelerating anew as President Trump says he's imposing a fresh 10 percent tariff on another $300 billion of Chinese goods. The new tariffs, due to take effect on 1 September, effectively tax all Chinese imports to the US. So how might China respond?

Beijing must not cave-in to the orange powdered clown, he knows very well he is losing this war.
Human lives mean nothing when the western warmongers see a bigger gain through war

Now the counter-strike comes in the form of currency depreciation. D Trump is ruining his chance of being re-elected.
Believe it or not, it's true.

Trump is a tricky old dog with plenty of tricks up his sleave; he might pull off a trick later when it suits his election propsects,  who knows!  Anyone negotiating with him got to be extremely careful not to fall prey to his tricks, never be lulled into thinking he would keep his promises. He made a promise to Pres Xi in Osaka to not impose new tariffs on Chinese goods, in front of world leaders, and he did just the opposite wheh he returned to US!  Who can trust a liar like Trump?  China fell for his promise, and started buying US agri produce, only stopping when Trump imposed new tariffs!

China wouldn't want to keep devaluing its currency because doing that would lead to capital flight ,  rising inflationary pressures and mounting corporate debt priced in dollar. Trump, flushed with his strong conservative base, is not worried about such trade disputes right now. You know many dirt-cheap Chinese goods sold in America can be replaced easily by products from other developing nations. The real victims of such trade tensions happen to be the biggest American companies doing business with China, in light of the fact that China is said to be a fast-growing market in terms of consumption.

For good measure, other Asian nations will follow suit if China resorts to devaluing its currency  as a means to counter America's rising trade tariffs , thereby triggering a panic in global  markets.  That wouldn't be a good outcome for China in such circumstances.
