The law forbids the spreading of religion. The law forbids that teachers answer questions about religion. And yet, the law states that there is Freedom of Religion ...

Freedom of Religion -- Freedom of religion is a principle that supports the freedom of an individual or community, in public or private, to manifest religion or belief in teaching, practice, worship, and observance. It also includes the freedom to change one's religion or beliefs.

Perhaps the Constitution should have an addendum. You could add the (very useful) phrase, "subject to change without notice".
Stupid people are like Glowsticks. You want to snap them in half and shake the crap out of them until they see the light.
I love sarcasm. It's like punching someone in the head ... only with words

If you are not coming to China to spread your religion, there should not be any problem;  you are free to worship your god without harassment!  Freedom of religion does not mean freedom to spread your religion; they are two very different buckets of fish!!  I hope that helps!

Considering the fact that China is a secular society, and the Communist Party of China is a non-religious party, you must be thankful China has bent backwards to accomodate the demands of so many diverse religions being practiced freely on its soil.  Foreigners like you should not demand more; just go about worshipping your god but don't try to spread your religion to others!  For a harmonious society, evangelism or spreading of religions should be outlawed, as is the case!

It it's not criticism, then what is it ? You might work on your spelling if you wish to use words such as "beholden" otherwise you yourself appear "silly". As well, aren't there several thousand monks in China who do nothing to contribute to the Chinese economy ? Should hard working Thai people have the right to criticise them ?

Another good example of how the law operates in China "with Chinese characteristics" i.e. not at all.

Don't Buddhist monks in China preach their religious beliefs to others ? If they didn't do this then how would Chinese people acquire such beliefs - by divine inspiration ?
