Chinese-style crossing of the road 可以吗?

No you can't.

This expression has to be translated by looking at its real meaning.

Road-crossing as they do in China means non-observance of traffic rules.

So the translation should be:

Pedestrians in China J-walk (cross roads unlawfully) all the time.

No, your blaming is not reasonable since too many bycycle-riders and car-drivers do not strictly obey the traffic rules whose illegal behaviors also belong to the so-called ‘Chinese style of road-crossing’!

Different people explain the same concept in different ways which truth you can see through different dictionaries from all countries.  It is hard to judge Tom‘s saying is wrong! Chinese teachers have said too many ‘No’s  to pupils whose habits have peeled off children‘s natural ability on language!
