Venues of the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala revealed

Kuala Lumpur and Sydney have been chosen as the first overseas sub-venues for China's Mid-Autumn Festival Gala.

The main venue will be in Qufu, China's eastern Shangdong Province and hometown of China's most renowned philosopher and scholar Confucius. It is one of the cradles of Chinese civilization.

The two sub-venues have been chosen carefully, the organizers say. Kuala Lumpur, the Malaysian capital is an important city along the Belt and Road Initiative, a global China-proposed infrastructure project, while Sydney, one of the largest cities in Australia, has a large number of Chinese people and an international and fashionable image.

The gala will link the three venues, with an interpretation of the Chinese people's good intentions of sharing the moment together.

Yang Qifang, the general planner of the Mid-Autumn Festival Gala, said "We believe the interaction between the three venues can be organically integrated into one, Chinese people all over the world celebrating the festival together under the same bright moon at the same time with us."

The Mid-Autumn Gala will be held on September 24 and will be broadcast live by Chinese Central Television (CCTV).

McDonald's in Guilin has Big Macs on sale for just 10 RMB.
I don't know if it will last until the 24th though.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

My favorite Chinese festival. The reason? Moon cakes, of course.
