If you tell me Jack Ma looks guilt-ridden over a sex charge, I'd never believe it.
Mr. Liu is a different cup of tea. He was involved in a similar case elsewhere earlier even though the accuser in that case was allegedly found guilty (lightning-quick justice).
He has the look of someone who is bold and reckless enough to be involved repeatedly in such scandals.
But again, as the CEO of the second largest e-commerce firm after Alibaba, he should have taken extra care when he visited foreign lands. Had he been accompanied by his wife or bodyguard everywhere he went, no one would have been able to frame him at will.
But again, he is not the kind of man who would want to be reined in by a tether -- real or imagined.

JD's stocks have dropped further and investors are worried that the whole truth surrounding the case has not been revealed. He is young and should have learned a lesson -- now that the two countries are locked in a trade war, people like him are more likely than not to be targeted. Then not just the image of the man himself, but even that of everyone and everything associated with him, is negatively affected.
As this case shows, top male executives have to be extremely careful these days when they go to the real-estate man's country.
In the case of Liu, whether he had committed any crimes is no longer the issue here. Carelessly giving cause for arrest shows the CEO's poor judgment, which in turn would affect his company's stock evaluation. That is the issue here.
His white shirt has now been indelibly stained with yellow ink. Of course this is unfair, but that's how Public Perception is formed these days with the advent of Social Media.

I wish I can do something to help Mr. Liu although we don't know each other. Hope things ...
Funny, you don't even know the man, whether he is guilty or innocent, and you heap sympathies and good wishes on him. There must be many others who faced similar situation, where are your sympathies for them? Or, is it because he is a billionaire, and that matters most to you? Money talks; and the more money one has, the louder the talk!

Yup, your ability to smell a rat is commendable.
Just look at the incongruity of the registration date (9-5-18, only a few days after credibility01 was banned) and his high-count credits, and you know that smartphone is an old timer who knows this forum like the back of his hand.
