By now I think you are really a racist, based upon your comments, misguided as they are. Many foreigners n China really try to fit in, whereas Chinese here in America as tourists behave just like at home, not caring if they are offensive.
I have lived in China for  many years and still hear snide and racist comments in Chinese behind my back or even to my face, thinking I do not understand them.

Perhaps you do not understand sarcasm. however -

I am surrounded by Chinese people and rarely meet other foreigners. A couple of days ago I met a Chinese American man who was born in China, emigrated when he was a child but has come back to China to live out his retirement. He has lived here for 10 years while I have lived here for 11 so we both have sufficient experience of Chinese people to form a valid opinion and do not "live in a dream world". He considers that 20% of Chinese people are nice while the remainder live up to their reputation. In my experience it is the older people who are most likely to have the bad manners.
