Its a good culture. It enhances people to people communication in that people learn to accommodate anyone they meet in the bicycle path way and maybe even to say hello as they meet. In cars this is impossible. How lifestyle can be depicted by the use of bicycle will dictate to what extent it will and can be used. Logically it boost health and environmental conservation. The infrastructure must support and encourage the use of bicycles, the convenience and the practicality all helps to encourage when compared to the use of motor vehicles etc. The authorities must also lead the way to encourage people. In today's world, there is no more such thing as "lords" and "servants" and to those who still think there is, you are in a poor state of regressive mentality. Hence there is nothing wrong for authorities to cycle after all aren't the authorities part of the people too? Or are authorities special breed and species?
