Australia chairs the Kimberley Process this year, a position that rotates annually...
The Chinese delegation was incensed over Australia inviting the Taiwan-based “Rough Diamond Trading Entity of Chinese Taipei” to the Kimberley Process Intersessional Meeting.

That evidently didn’t mollify the angry delegation from Beijing this time. The continual disruptions  'prompted'  the Australians to quietly force the Taiwanese delegation to leave. Some friends they are down Yonder...

Australia, like the United States, ascribes to the “One China” policy, whereby it recognizes Beijing as the “only” China but still maintains strong unofficial diplomatic relations with Taiwan.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang said the organizers had improperly invited Taiwan to the meeting, which was in violation of the rules and something China had repeatedly complained about ahead of the event.

Australai should refuse mainland delegation to participate, when you organize something you are the boss. When you participate something, then you agree conditions

Every years, several similar example, stupid peoples without brain just ruin some key events or important meeting for their political ideologic agenda...

During SARS crisis, Taiwan was the leader in Asia, coordinate fight against the virus, when bejing clique was censoring information, prefer to let peoples dying.
And after that, China also obligated Health organization to refuse access to meeting: hey, it's about world health, ok, not politic! Keep your warmongering sht for you or dont travel abroad!

It's sensible for other countries to avoid upsetting China about contacts with Taiwan; but China should resist the temptation to use this issue to increase its internal domestic political support for reunification. The Taiwan problem is a delicate one which will require brilliant political and diplomatic management to finally resolve. Both Taiwan and China should deal with it very delicately. If both are sensible, Taiwan will soon rejoin China. It will be a province with extra autonomy - far more than Hong Kong. The addition of Taiwan will bring some very brilliant businesspeople into China - much to China's benefit. It will also strengthen the forces of democracy in China. (Likely, the less-democratic elements in the Communist Party of China will resist this democratization; but they are very wrong to do this.)
