This is of course, very troubling.  I used to work in a hospital and watched terminally ill children die.  It is heartwrenching.  Anything that can offer them comfort is okay, even if it is a belief that they will go to a pain free heaven.  HOWEVER, it is problematic if such a belief encourages them to want to die when there are still options.  I have also known people who are amazing who are "other abled" and whom many would consider candidates for euthanasia.  Stephen Hawkings has learned to fight and we would be oh so much poorer without him.  Did we just lose another Hawkings?  Is a five  year old capable of making such a decision?  There are many troubling questions around this.
