Problem is the average Chinese kitchen is very small and most have no oven, many also have no space for one. We extended our kitchen in Shanghai in order to fit a small oven but the kitchen is still only a quarter of the size of the one I have in my UK home

There are some foreign language bookstores in Shanghai but most of the offering is the "Classics" however I make 5 trips a year back to the UK bringing an average of 10 books back with me and there are also places like Pan Jia Yuan market in Beijing ( I am there 2 or 3 times a year ) where there are 100's of book sellers every weekend, there are some second hand English novels for sale from 10RMB.
If you ever get to Shanghai look me up and you can have a bag full of the books I have read.
