BEIJING -- A Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson on Friday refuted the British government's latest six-monthly report to parliament on Hong Kong, urging Britain to stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs.
China is strongly displeased with and firmly opposed to the report since it contains groundless accusations against China, spokesman Hong Lei said in a statement.

Hong Kong is a special administrative region of China, and Hong Kong affairs are China's domestic affairs, Hong said, stressing that no foreign country has the right to interfere in it.

He urged the British side to be cautious with words and deeds and stop interfering in Hong Kong affairs.

Since the return of Hong Kong to China in July 1997, the principle of "one country, two systems" has made great achievements, as recognized by the whole world, said the spokesman, noting that Hong Kong continues to enjoy prosperity and stability, and Hong Kong residents enjoy every right and freedom they are entitled to in accordance with the law.

The Chinese central government has been earnestly implementing the principle of "one country, two systems" and strictly following the Hong Kong Basic Law, Hong said, adding the central government is determined to continue to do so in the future.

The British and Europeans in general are pathological liars.

Ask the natives of the three continents the Europeans stole through the generous use of genocide and lies.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

The native Americans were lied to from the east coast all the way to the west coast.
All the hundreds of promises the Europeans made that they were satisfied with the land they had were broken.
Finally native Americans were forced on reservations. Many were forced to reservations on death marches.

This has been the character of the Europeans for the past 500 years.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

You should have copied the wording of the British statement so that other viewers can judge whether  ...

There is really no need to review that pathological liars say or write.

What the British write is not worth the paper it is written on.

If China had not obtained nuclear capability and maintained a strong military the British would still
be occupying Hong Kong.
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?
