I met a Chinese education "expert" a while ago. He was saying that he admired many aspects of western education but did not think that many Chinese students could fit in there. I asked him which schools he had visited. His reply was that he had walked around Eton School. I fear that this is a common vision of UK schools and education. So many Chinese parents and students talk about going to Oxford, Cambridge, Eton because these are famous. These are not examples of typical UK education. It is true that there may be far better and more realistic opportunities for Chinese students at other ones, just as MichaelM suggests about American ones.

I agree.

Instead of Harvard, Chinese parents should send their children to the People's Republic of Berkeley where the main campus of the University of California System is located.

The reason: Harvard is for Capitalists while UC Berkeley is for Socialists.
