Chinese PLA is enforcing stricter military training reform under which being overweight will affect the opportunity of promotion. I don't agree with this policy, but it is what it is. Just because you are overweight should not stop you from getting a promotion if you do a good job. Can a soldier receive promotion if he is flagged for overweight? What do you think?

What for? Warning our soldiers to diet? This doesn't make sense. I think one's weight cannot be counted as a criterion for promotion. It is a discrimmination. After all, we promote thoes who do their job well instead of those in good figure.

A soldier must be fit for combat, isn't that what an army is for? Those in civilian jobs are not expected to endure the hardships or physical activities which are a normal part of military life.

Mr Mao was a bit portly, it did not seem to slow him down.
