First of all, there were less than 10,000 protesters marching on Sunday, which police estimated at perhaps a little over 8,000, counting minors who would never have voted in any election of the HKSAR Chief Executive.  So, a generous estimate of the number of protesters who were there to protest their right to vote might have been a trifling 5,000.

What the new street march proved, however, is that the "color revolutions" trademarked and franchised by Western powers, continues to plot the overthrow of the Chinese government in Hong Kong, through mob action on the streets, exactly as Mussolini demonstrated to the world with his Black Shirts who marched on Rome, and overthrew its government overnight.  This thread is important to remember.

The black thread that formed the Black Shirts of the Fascist movement of Mussolini may have morphed into the yellow threads and sheets that make the Yellow Umbrellas of Hong Kong, but the hands that wove them come from the same coven.

And what did the February 1, 2015 march of the Color Insurrection, Inc., prove?

1.  There is freedom of speech and assembly in Hong Kong, first of all.
2.  There is very little popular support for the ideas and demands of the Color Revolution.

Of course, it proved more than that.  It also proved . . .

3.  That Western subversion of the Chinese SAR has never stopped, and its funds continued to flow into their many fronts.
4.  That the Chinese SAR has to prepare for desperate moves by the stooges of Western powers, who have to "do something" to earn their keep.
5.  That the Chinese government on the mainland and in Hong Kong was absolutely correct in refusing to let foreign diplomats who openly verbally interfere with China's internal affairs either get a visa or meet top officials in Beijing or Hong Kong.

And so, the fire is still being stoked under the Chinese SAR, and the kettle is still being stirred.  The latest ingredient was a tiny pinch of yellow umbrellas, but it did not bring the kettle to a boil.  Their next approach would be to add fuel to the fire (such as with markedly increased funding to pay for more members to join the protests), add whole cupfuls of red hot peppers (such as manufacturing false flag incidents involving human rights), and forcibly stick a large spoon into the kettle to stir it up (combination of Social Media using upgraded smartphones and Mass Media directed from abroad).

China and its SAR would have to create a hardware solution to the use of social media for mass insurrection, as happened with the Arab Spring in Egypt.  One possible solution is to segregate the coverage according to geographic location, according to source, and according to destination of messages, irregardless of the content which could be coded.  Social media has morphed from being able to create flash mobs to creating flash uprisings (which can lie anywhere along a wide spectrum of activities).  Mass media, when linked with such targeted social media, can then amplify the Hollywood production to the rest of the world, including into homes that use TV, instead of smart phones.  It is likely that the next move of Color Revolution, Inc., would involve other cities and regions of China, just as it has involved many parts of the world of differing cultures, religions and ideologies.  It might even be international in scope.  Sunzi said, know your enemy and know yourself.

THE FASCIST MUSSOLINI IS THE GREAT GRAND DADDY OF ALL COLOR REVOLUTIONS - HE STARTED IT ALL WITH HIS BLACK SHIRTS, WHICH HITLER IMITATED WITH HIS BROWN SHIRTS, AND THENCE ITS MANY, MULTICOLORED MUTATIONS.  IT IS FUNDAMENTALLY A ROMAN INVENTION.
