damages due to such project is in no way can be a block in its benefits ,experts for sure has made the best to their knowledge ,water shortage is not a small problem and with time such project will prove to be even more essential ,actually another projects should be carefully evaluated also ,the country proper functioning and growth depend on water as much as on energy. history tells many civilizations wiped out due to water shortage.

Years ago, I'd written about the massive desalinization of sea water at China's coastal regions and pumping the water to the source of China's rivers. This way, worries about rivers drying up would be lessened. Desalinized water could also be directed to parched northern provinces. Hundreds of gigantic desalinization centers with their massive pumps would be needed, but this is something China can afford and it also concerns national security. Loss of biodiversity would also be minimized.
