It is kind of hypocritical, isn't it? Google complied with all the investigations and requirements legally with EU countries. Yet in China it wants to violate Chine laws

Well put. Only a total fool would use Chinese email in China for anything more than holiday pictures. VPN and proper secure email is a must, rare language like Finnish also good way to protect yourself.
