Crass is crass for crying out loud.  

The operation room is sacrosanct, with the patient usually unconscious and naked.

And the camera is contaminated with antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria.

That's why there aren't that many who take a picture of their masked faces -- only inconsiderate morons do.
