Ban eating on the subway?
That's a slippery slope my friend.
Before long you'll hear talk of banning eating on bicycles, horseback, ferris wheels, ski lifts, and zip lines.
Where does it end?
If capitalism promotes innovation and creativity then why aren't scientists and artists the richest people in a capitalist nation?

Already do in Australia, eating and drinking is banned on public transport

    the easiest way to avoid the eating on the subway..  is to travel only at peak times.... when there is no room to move..  making it very hard to eat ..   at least in Beijing anyway....            ;P
