How do you know if the outfit that make these awards are not as corrupt as the nobel committee tha ...

Mate, I know you obhor people who are  not agreeable to your own perception of Red China and take offence at anyone slamming China and the ineptness and smugness  of  Chinese officials. Personally, I think that's okay since you are entitled to your own opinion: it's  a manifestation of freedom of speech. Yet please don't make a point of bashing and impugning the credibility of such much-followed  literary awards. Most of the the award-winning books have nothing to do with politics or ideologicial conflicts between Eastern culture and Western thinking.  Some of the award-winners even try to lay bare the seamy side of capitalism and the social ills facing Western nations, suggesting that people should find a way- such as reading thoughtful books or becoming faithful people-to remove the fetters of parochialism ,  mistigate the pangs of human sufferings and seek illumination.

We should respect the winners of such eminent   literary awards, what with their books offer food for thought and enrich our minds.
