Again, some small-time censor has omitted my posting below:

When not only Yin Xiumei and Zhang Hai sees the truth in Xi Jinping's speech, but also internationally popular Chen Kaige as well, there's hope for genuinely great Art - and China's culture - yet. Perhaps I've been too pessimistic after all.

While Mao Zedong was of course China's foremost theoretician, Xi's call comes at an even more imperative juncture in China's history: without wartime danger and perils facing China, there would be many who don't see the urgency of Xi's call and who are motivated by money, superficial fame and approbation from the cultural manipulators of the West.
