On August 18th, 2014, thousands of local residents in Ludian County, southwest China’s Yunnan Province, voluntarily hold a ceremony to convey their gratitude to rescues forces of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA), who was going to leave the quake-jolted region for their military bases, for their excellent rescue efforts over past few weeks.
A 6.5-magnitude earthquake jolted Ludian on August 3rd, 2014, and claimed the lives of over 600 people. |
