Foreign wives and their Chinese husbands

and i'm still home alone part deux in NYC for the past 13 yrs (goin up to 14 yrs soon if i still dont find anybody)

It happens more often that they cannot communicate with their parents-in-law well. It doesn't make a difference, in fact the relationship with parents-in-law may be better because they can't communicate.

But in China, a man often doesn't know how to ease the strain relationship between his wife and his mother. It is a common phenomenon.
