Harbin Sophia Church

It was originated from an army accompanying church of Czarist Russia.

A Russian business man invested to build a wooden church at the same place after the army withdrew.

The number of the Orthodox Christians in Harbin increased rapidly.

The city authority rebuilt a large Byzantium style church designed by a Russian in order to meet the need.

The building plane of the church looks like a Latin cross.

The multi-faces wall of the church was built by clear water red bricks.

The up- crown roof is an onion-like dome of Russian style.

There are four pyramid tent tops located around the dome.

There are sixteen windows in the drum seat of the dome.

The corner lines stretch down to the octagon pillars.

On the top of the front door of the church, sweet sounds come out.

Seven music bells make their rhythm and cadence of music.

Pigeons are hovering around in the sky above the church.

洋葱穹顶为上冠，棱锥帐顶四相伴。

穹顶鼓座十六窗，线角流至八面桩。

正门顶部悦耳响，七乐钟顿挫抑扬。

堂外上空鸽飞翔，可知昔日无平安？
