Tyrannical Democracy
2019-02-01

What the US is doing all along is to contain China's rise and economic prosperity. Many excuses are given for doing so such as "stealing technology", "IP infringement", "unfair trade practices"...etc. Not satisfied at that, covert operations are being done in China's territory to create tension within the local population with the intention of overthrowing the government. So far, China has stood firm and solid where many other countries have unfortunately succumbed--such as Venezuela now, or earlier, such as Sri Lanka, or Maldives, and many more in the past. The common excuse is "human rights violation", "no freedom", or "no democracy". It is always the US which insists whether a country is "truly democratic" or "truly free", all subject to US' interpretation. The case of "WMD in Iraq" is a good example of such interpretation. There was no WMD found in Iraq but since the US says there is, IT HAS TO BE SO!!! The reality is there was none. The champion of "democracy" is actually a tyrant but no country in the world dares to stand up to it because it wields "a big stick". That big stick in the hand of a tyrant is what causes every country to keep quiet and obey. This is similar to a bully going around telling everybody to obey or else....

Now, the US can't be seen like a big bully so the western media comes into play. The role of the western media is to make sure the US looks good and proper. Since the US isn't really good and proper, the media has to lie and present half-truths and misleading data to deceive the public and the world. The western media has been honing this skill for many decades and is very good at this. The modus operandi of the western media is to attack first by churning out lies and misinformation swiftly and fiercely so that those they victimise will have a harder time, or no time, to defend against the false accusations and lies. It seems to be working, unfortunately. The vision of the US is a global order in which every country is subordinated to it. Subordinates should only play supporting role and obey instantly at the hint of a command and should never rise up above the US. Any country that comes up like a sore thumb to the US gets hacked off mercilessly. That is why developing countries can only remain as developing countries so that the developed countries can exploit them for resources and manpower cheaply.

Will this “global order” continue unabated? The answer lies in each and everyone’s conscience and the will to change.
