I am Chinese
2015-11-16 I used to fancy the dream-like society in Hollywood movies, democracy, freedom, free love, and American dream which if you have courage and talent, you can be somebody
As time went by, I entered the college and fell in love with language and western culture, I began to inmitate the way they talk, the accent, the way of life, however, I gradually found that I am still a Chinese, one who loves his country so deep, even sometimes this country does not posses the material prosperity and cultural impact like others, but still, I love China so much
This country is rising in almost every aspects, culture, economy, political impact, etc. There is no reason for us not to be proud of our motherland, though it still lags behind those western counterparts, however, as time goes and we interact with them more and more, humblely learn from their their tech and science. It is our generation which was born after 90`s can help this country become a dream-like one.
崇洋媚外(bragging western society and humilating domestic society) is a phenomenon quite popular in campus, yet learning from them doesn't mean we have to abandon our roots, because we will never fall in love with smelly Cheese and junk food, because we will never be white, because we are Chinese
I love my country, I will try my utmost to learn western economics and their ideal, and build our country toghther with million of Chinese youth

You are mostly right

do not dismiss other generations either,
as long as some one is
.alive
.proud of them self and their country
they can contribute to your dreams to make China a greater country then it already is
and make the world all the better for it

I believe that people are all the same all over the world across age and class. There are good bad and indifferent everywhere.
I hope you find your dream in China and enjoy your life.

I lived in China for about 40 months over the last five years, I like China very much but I am Canadian and proud of it. What living in China taught me is as great as Canada is, other countries have their greatness as well.
