1. Yachts for the sea lanes can generate healthy business opportunities of varieties, including trained skill sets. However, governments ought to set the rules and regulations affirmatively to oversee that yacht clubs and mooring facilities are located far away from the common crowds in which public seasides, beaches and swimming venues may not suffer any potential harm and pollution. The typical error in locating the Dameisha Yacht Club by sandwiching it among and between existing residents, public users and holiday makers is a very telling potential harm and mistake; and since the nearby Yantian Port is already crowded with shipping containers and/or various sea-going vessels. Of course, the curse is heavy sea water pollution caused of effects in which the latter are almost invisible ( who will check and examine pollutants dumped by ship operators ? ). Having said the pollutant damaging effects, the said Yacht Club should not be located in Dameisha but ought to be moved further easterly towards Santou area to ease the uncanny congestion and dilute the pollution of the sea.
2. The famous and folklore Yangtze River ought to deserve much better treatment and respect than some of the world famous rivers / water ways of Europe and the USA. But pollution is too heavily rendered by irresponsible operators and folks while local governments are falling asleep ( as if ) between and along townships of The Great Yangtze. China is wealthy enough to replace all older passenger and cargo ships with new and sophisticated cruisers / liners to serve tourists of all nationals; that is, serving both locals and foreigners with the same river cruisers / liners though fares can be devised to discount for locals and age retirees to be affordable. Such approach should improve locals' behaviors when foreigners are present and participating; else there is going to be a harder and longer road to pick up more civilized behaviors ( in question ) and civility. Here again this venture is providing endless means of business opportunities.
Notes worthy of comments: i ) Huanggang entry custom checkpoint of Shenzhen city from Hong Kong to China is a real pain in the neck when there was and still there is neither functioning elevator nor LIFT to assist tourists and locals arriving into China via Huanggang Custom Checkpoint (Shenzhen) which is open 24 hours daily. One cannot see how older folks with or without bags are able to walk all the way UP and DOWN concrete steps of up to 10 meters high and down to reach waiting vehicles / taxis . China is known to care for public welfare and is also very wealthy too; but where are the working Heavy ELEVATORS and LIFTS ( well maintained and clean LIFTS and ELEVATORS ) ? Sorry, none at all !!
ii ) SarTouJie (Yantian) entry custom checkpoint of Shenzhen is exhibiting the same fate / dilemma as Huanggang. YOU see, this is first impression of arriving tourists into China, be them first timers or seasoned ones, and China ought NOT to display such low class taste when it comes to facilities. Remember the seriousness of the FIRST IMPRESSION of China is mindful !
Let's hope and see how these facilities will be corrected and improved as soon as yesterdays !!
