500,000 Chinese + Another 100,000 Chinese massacre in Indonesia - Lest We Forget
2014-08-06 Hollywood allowed the " The Act of Killing" recently to mainstream movie houses.
Th movie production have deployed actual perpetuators in the film portraying these massacre of Chinese in 1965 and again in the failed power grab by Suharto's son in law Subianto in 1998.

My uncle family was brutalized and lost family members to murder and rape in 1965. Some of my business associates died and their daughters raped in 1998.

China had not acted in 1965 and for some reason did not censure Indonesia in 1998. Someone is inciting Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines to demonize China and the Chinese. The world stood by in 1930s when Japan invaded China. Nanking massacre followed over 200,000 perished and many brutalized in 1937.

Now Obama will visit Hiroshima Memorial as if Japan was a victim and not the perpetuator of the 2nd World War. Along with painting China power grab in Diaoyu and the south China Seas, rightly or wrongly demonizing China and Chinese.

The Chinese Dragon will not attain respect if nothing is done now that this films is produced making it an entertainment of the Killings of Chinese. No real respect will come to China if such soft power actions are made to demonize Chinese. Chinese have been demonized as Yellow Fever, the Oriental Freak and Weakling. Now, as docile objects of massacre.

Below is my blog accusing Subianto as author of the 1998 massacre. I had warned that he will run for Presidiency in 2014 but fortunately he had lost a few weeks ago to former Jakarta Governor Widodo. ( The pictures is graphic < my apology>. I have ommitted the brutal rape and skewering of female genitalia in my blog. There are plenty of gory images of these events in the internet )

If China cannot protect Chinese, we will protect ourselves as we have done the past 120 years.

Michael, the truth shall be out whenever and so long as people remembers and more importantly lessons learned, ergo we progress as a specie. From the dawn of history men have brutalized each other but despite this we are still learning to live within a Global Village. Teachers or as the Chinese say Lao Shu is important to instill in the young hoping that one day when they become leaders they can make the difference.
There are many heroes that are not recognized in history but then what purpose o eahc of us have in this existence than to make a positive difference.
Bring it on Michael....in the Chinese corner or inside your classroom or just living and demonstrating by example. Even if it can be as unpleasant as arguing with a street vendor for services she/he did sloppily.

Huaren, Obama is an embarrassment to the American people. No one could have imagined the ineptitude and poor leadership that he has shown the world.

The massacre at Nanjing is largely ignored in the USA. I never heard about when studying world history and even when studying World War 2. President Harry Truman has also been overlooked in Chinese history for what he did to bring Japan to their knees. Most students here know of Nixon but not Truman. If Truman had not had the courage to drop the two A-bombs on Japan, they would have likely killed many more Chinese and caused much more devastation. The Japanese have proven through history to be brutal and uncivilized people. If they had not surrendered, Truman would have dropped up to 10 A-bombs on them. I agree with your sentiment and feel the pain of the Chinese people over this situation. It is sad. America didn't acknowledge it because of what was happening on the Korean Peninsula. China was supporting the north while the US was supporting the south. I think this is why these things were overlooked by the US and China. The US didn't acknowledge the massacre at Nanjing and Chinese didn't give the credit to Truman that he deserved. All of this simply because they didn't agree about Korea.
