THE AGONY AND CHALLENGES 21ST CENTURY

There are about 54 Million Huaren. Contributing almost 80% of direct Investments into Motherland China cumulative by 2010.

The early Qing Dynasty during Kangsi Period saw the greatest economic, military and commercial success that rival the Tang Dynasty, BUT its lattter Qing emperors rule were chaotic. It is marked by palace revolts, infighting, unbridled corruption, delapidated infrastructure, antiquated defense, opium addiction, and marginal food and water security.

Ming Dynasty migrants are rich merchant class, these latter Qing migrants are economic migrants seeking to overcome starvation at home and getting away from Western (including Japanese) initiated armed aggression to colonize China.

These poor migrants were mostly from the southen coastal areas such as Guangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, Zhejiang, and Jiangsu areas. Taiwan has about 40% while Hong Kong and Singapore made up of about 15% of the total overseas Chinese.

This explains the prominence of Cantonese and Fujian dialects among overseas Chinese.

The early migrants were used as unskilled laborers in mining and railroad construction ( Malaysia, Australia, USA, & Canada). Singapore are made up of stevedore and port workers. Myanmar ( former Burma), Thailand, Vietnam, and Indonesia were merchants of grains, bird's nest, pearl and gems. Philippines were mostly banker merchant class as they broker all the Spanish Silver taken from Acapulco Mexico and exchanged it for silk, porcelain, tea, satin, and rosewood furnitures in the lucrative Galleon Trade bound for Europe thru Spain.

This is how they started:

Most Overseas Chinese were considered an inconvenient necessity. Owing to being hardworking and cheap, they were used for jobs nobody wanted. These jobs are as dangerous as setting explosive and digging earthwork into mountains for mining and railways. When construction is over they were used in laundry shops and restaurants. This discrimination lasted well into the 1980s in some countries. For security and sense of identity they usually live in Chinatown ghettos.

The Falling Qing Dynasty, the Chinese civil war that followed, the Humiliation of China by United Forces of Europe and USA and the Japanese Invasion in the 1930s lead to a weak, sickly, cheap and expendable Chinese image <negative Soft Power>. Discriminating Laws targeting Chinese in general were made in Europe, Australia, USA, and Canada while their Southeast Asian client states followed suit with the exception of Thailand, Laos, and Sri Lanka. In the Philippines they still levy head tax on some Chinese who were trap between being recognized as Taiwanese or Chinese.

This leaves no other choice for overseas Chinese to be pre-occupied with being professional doctors, accountant or engineers if not merchants.

Periodic Massacre of Overseas Chinese Occurs and the latest ones in the 20th Century were :

(A) 1965 in Malaysia as a result of expelling Singapore from Federation of Malaya. Malaysians and their former British lords cannot risk having Hon. Lee Kwan Yew become the Prime Minister so they expelled Singapore from the Federation;

(B) 1965 in Indonesia was an offshoot of Instability within Indonesia where almost the entire senior military personnel were assassinated at Lubang Buaya and the Chinese were scapegoats as Communist provocateurs;

(C) 1998 AGAIN in Indonesia --the most brutal so far. It was reported to have Military involvement in order to create chaos as an excuse for attempted Coup d'etat. Murder and brutal rape with objects have been recorded by Third Party Institutions.

How can a minute 1% Chinese population casue instability in Indonesia < The largest Muslim population in the World?>... WHY ?

UNITED NATIONS, USA, U.K. TAIWAN. CHINA KNOWS. but remain largely silent.

Our Leader Jiang ZeMin personally went to see President B.J.Habibie and President Lee Teng Hui (李登輝) of Taiwan threathen to withdraw their investments there and sent 2 Evergreen Airbus to evacuate victims.

The reports gathered by USA, UK and many other countries pointed to former Suharto's son in law, Lt. General Prabowo Subianto as initiator of this massacre. It was reported that he tried to stage the chaos as an excuse to move his troops into Jakarta on a failed Coup d'etat. His father was the Chief oF Staff of the Armed Forces. He controlled Kompassus, the ultra Elite Special Forces <trained by USA at Fort Benning Georgia> that already massacre a large population within their own country trying to be independent, East Timor. He ran for Vice -presidency and failed,

Now he is running for the 2014 Presidential election.

Silence and inaction makes U.K. and League of Nations as guilty as Nazi Germany for allowing the world's worst man made calamity to Happen...

With so much Huaren gives back to China and Taiwan, Huaren in Indonesia pleads for assistance like a left over child who continues to love China.

Make your homes ready to receive Indonesian Chinese refugees and even native Indonesian sympathizers when and should this abuse occurs again.
