2013-05-27I had been teaching young learners, young adults and a few adults for more than seven years now. I teach on and off the classroom or online classes. I enjoy the interaction and the education i could impart.
I learn a lot as I teach. I love to teach. I guess it is a calling I cannot get away with. Though I love to teach so much sometimes I am being challenged by students' behavior. As years gone by I learned how to adapt and discipline them in ways we won't be hurting each other emotionally or physically.
Now, that I have a daughter, I'd been thinking how would I discipline her if the time comes that I discover she has a bad attitude. Would I be as strict as a teacher or as caring and considerable as a mother.
I recently bought and still reading the book "Discipline without shouting or spanking" by J. Wyckoff and B.C. Unell.
I have discovered that there are a lot of practical ways to discipline a child. As a read I take notes and would be putting into practice in my classes and to my daughter.
