Have you heard of the music term “Sophisti-pop”? The genre is used to describe some kind of smooth, jazz-like pop music. Its usual reliance on synthesizers was typical for the 1980s when Sophisti-pop gradually took shape. With its slick production and mellow, urbane feel, sophisti-pop fit both adult contemporary and quiet storm radio formats.

If you agree, Sade can be considered as the most notable artist of this jazz-like music style. Her sultry voice and the quasi-jazz backing easily waft the audiences to an elegant, infatuating world.

Sade, I love her

It is true that Sade fits in with the atmosphere of an elegant bar or that of a romantic cafe. I fall in love with her at first "listening".
